Emily Freeman, PT and Certified Nutritionist

Emily Freeman 2.0

_DSC8063Wow… I’m so excited that this day is here! Thank you for joining in my celebration of the re-launch of the business that began 3 years ago as a “side business”, and has now become a full-time pursuit fueled by passion and experience. Live N Motion by Emily Freeman is the culmination of the best things I have learned throughout my career.

After completing college degrees in Health and Sport Science and then Physical Therapy, I spent more than 20 years working with children and their families as a physical therapist specializing in pediatrics, always with an angle of promoting optimal function along with abilities and interest in becoming and remaining physically active. My passion comes from the awareness that we have been given ONE body and both the quality and longevity of our life depend greatly on how we care for that body. I have sharpened my skills in physical therapy over many years of experience and ongoing education, and take great joy in helping people of all ages move with freedom and power as we make their body work FOR them, not AGAINST them.

You may wonder about the link between physical therapy and nutrition. For me, it is both a scientific link (poor nutrition both directly and indirectly impacts your body’s physical movement and performance) and a personal link. Until about 5 years ago, I was a “healthy” eater, but I wasn’t really a “smart” eater… I didn’t know how to combine my foods and fuel my body in a way that would truly make my foods work FOR me. Then I learned the practical science of how to optimize metabolism, build more muscle, and burn fat through my nutrition and exercise programs. As a forty year-old woman, I was thrilled! As an experienced physical therapist running my own private practice and seeing people and families on a daily basis who NEED this knowledge, I became so passionate about sharing it with others that I decided to also become a certified nutritionist. I love that since then, I have provided services that meet people where they are at, elevate their nutrition without judgment or condemnation, work a successful plan into their REAL life, and help them achieve TRUE balance both physically and nutritionally in their body.

_DSC8101From my career experience in physical therapy and nutrition, I find that people want to live in a body that is (1) free of aches and pains, (2) strong enough to allow them to enjoy sports, play with kids or grandkids, and meet the physical demands of a chosen career, and (3) maintained in homeostasis – the balance it was created to keep by its perfect design (including maintaining balance of hormones, ridding itself of toxins and waste, burning fat, building muscle in response to physical exercise, fighting off illness and keeping them energized throughout the day). I have invested myself in years of personal and professional study and experience, and have put the best of what I have learned together to create a 2-part system to help anyone who desires to move freely and powerfully through life in a body that has realized its potential for complete balance. I have been blessed to have developed relationships that now allow me to elevate my business through two amazing partnerships that mean I can provide a depth of service that reaches far beyond my individual experience with each client, and that would simply not be possible to provide on my own. Those partners are Tom Dalonzo-Baker, PT (founder of Total Motion Release therapy approach) and Mark MacDonald (celebrity nutrition coach, bestselling author, and founder of Venice Nutrition). My in-depth study from each of these men and of their methods has made me a much better PT, health professional, and person.

I thrive on opportunities to reach into someone’s life in a way that helps them achieve goals they may have never thought possible, and I love that my life is enriched in some way by each individual God puts in my path. I would be honored to be a part of your personal journey. If you are ready to Move Free, Fuel Right, and Live N Motion, contact me today to schedule your free 30-minute assessment in either physical movement or nutrition.
I can’t wait to help you reach your goals!
